OCR: The Animal Care Center at the Living Desert is a veterinary clinic and nursery. Animals undergo regular vaccinations, disease testing, parasite control and maternity supervision. Some animals require life-saving surgery and others are rescued from the wild - nearly 1000 baby birds, rabbits and rodents are delivered to the Living Desert each year between March and July by people who have found them abandoned and helpless. Fortunately, experienced volunteers are ready to feed and care for them and to return `them to the wild.
